Cartwright Downtown Farmer's Market
Wednesday, October 9, 2024 (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
This is more than just a market. Our market has been in operation for 48 years. In 1985, Emily Cartwright, sister to Bill Fisher, purchased the land at 108 N. 2nd Avenue in Marshalltown. She had it paved over, built the pavilion shelter, and donated it back to the city of Marshalltown for the use of our community farmer’s market. The market, as well as its vendors, was very successful and considered a community gem. Today our market is still operating, carrying on the tradition of supplying our community with fresh LOCAL produce, fresh eggs, baked goods, various home goods, art, jewelry, personal care items and so much more. All products are vendor produced. We also welcome community groups to come share their programs or services.
This year is going to be a spectacular year. Our market continues to grow, welcoming new vendors and community visitors. Follow us on Facebook for free family and community events, information, specials and more.
