Description

This is more than just a market. This is the heart of Marshalltown. Our market has been in operation for 44 years. In 1985 Emily Cartwright, sister to Bill Fisher, purchased the land at 108 N. 2nd Avenue in Marshalltown. She had it paved over, built the pavilion shelter, and donated it back to the city of Marshalltown under the stipulation that it was to be used for the community farmer’s market. The market, as well as its vendors, was very successful and considered a community gem. Today our market is still operating, carrying on the tradition of supplying our community with fresh LOCAL produce, baked goods, art and so much more. This year, 2020, is going to be a spectacular year. Our town is coming back strong after the devastation of the July 19, 2018 tornado. Our local vendors are ready to do their part in rebuilding our downtown and the rest of our community. Follow us on Facebook for free family and community events, information, specials and more. https://www.facebook.com/CartwrightDowntownFarmersMarket/ If you have questions or are interested in becoming a vendor, please contact us at 641-351-9181, cartwright.market@gmail.com or via Facebook Messenger.
