UnityPoint Health’s ambulance service is once again partnering with Theisen’s and the Salvation Army to host its annual Fill the Rig event.

The event is Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside the Theisen’s store at 602 Iowa Ave. West in Marshalltown.

 At the event, UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown collects toys, puzzles, clothes and other children’s items this holiday season for the Salvation Army. The donations allow the first responders to load up an ambulance (or fill the rig) to help make the holidays brighter for under-resourced families in the area.
