The Marshalltown Central Business District has partnered with the Marshalltown Public Library again this year for our Storybook Walk through Downtown to celebrate Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day) a celebration of the importance of books and reading in the lives of all children in our community. Starting April 16th and running through May 2nd book covers will be posted at 20 downtown businesses allowing families and friends to discover new books, visit the downtown businesses, and promote literacy. Worksheets will have the name and addresses of each participating business with a blank next to them to fill out the title of the book posted at each location. Participants can print off the worksheets here or on our website (https://www.marshalltownmainstreet.org/) starting on April 16th OR get printed copies from the Marshalltown Public Library (phone number 641-754-5738, ext. 3 youth desk / Website www.marshalltownlibrary.org). Turn in your completed worksheets to the Youth Desk at the Marshalltown Public Library by May 2nd for a free book, and a chance to win bigger prizes! The winner will be notified by May 6th.
