Books can be painted on\, cut apart\, collaged\, folded into careful patterns\, made into sculpture\, or even turned into functional objects like clocks or purses. There are no rules about how to alter the books.Participants can sign up starting on Monday\, September 12th and select their book at the library's Information Desk. Altered books are due back to the library by Monday\, October 24th. All works of art will be on display at the Tuesday\, October 25th reception\, which is open to the public and a great chance to page through the books up close. The reception will go from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The event is held every October in celebration of Arts and Humanities month.The library has books with ideas and possible projects available for perusal at its Information Desk.
