SUMMARY:Veteran Service Dog Foster Program Lunch & Learn
DESCRIPTION:Iowa Valley Community College is starting a new program in Animal Care and Management and as part of the program in partnership with the Puppy Jake Foundation. This foundation raises service dogs for veterans. We will have 6 dogs in training this fall at the school! As part of the project\, the dogs will go home with a foster parent for the night and then return to the school each day for "lessons" with the students. We are looking for foster families or babysitters for these dogs who would take them home at night. The fosters would be required to attend a class once a week on Tuesday evening. The Puppy Jake foundation will provide all food\, supplies\, and veterinary care for the dogs.Two Lunch & Learn events for anyone interested in serving as a foster:April 24th at 12pm & June 17th at 6pm
