Join us for an insightful discussion at the Surviving Streetscape Panel, we will showcase plans for the reconstruction and hear from communities that have navigated the challenges of a major streetscape reconstruction. Learn from fellow survivors as they share their experiences, lessons learned, and best practices for enduring and thriving through the process that we will soon experience at the heart of Marshalltown. Panelists: Brooke Prouty- Brooke Prouty is the Business Specialist with Main Street Iowa focusing on economic vitality programming across Iowa. Previously she held the position of Marion Main Street Director where she oversaw a 7-year transformation of the Uptown District through a streetscape reconstruction and Derecho disaster recovery. Her passion lies in finding unique solutions for community development and programming. Jordan Cook Steve Skaggs- Steve Skaggs serves as a member of the Nevada, IA City Council and is a former president of Main Street Nevada. In his role as a board member for both Main Street Nevada and the Camelot Theater Foundation, Steve is actively engaged in the revitalization of Nevada's downtown district and has overseen the initiatives of Main Street Nevada during the recent streetscape project in the community.
