Marshalltown Fire Chief Chris Cross presents "A History of the Marshalltown Fire Department" as part of the Historical Society of Marshall County's "History on Second Tuesday" monthly programming.The department was organized as a full-time entity in 1902. It has grown with the community and provides critical public safety services 24/7/365. Cross was named chief by the Marshalltown city council in November, 2024.

Pricing

None. Event is free-of-charge and open to the public. However, a free-will offering is recommended. This allows HSMC - a certified IRS 501c3 not-for-profit organization -  to educate the public about significant county events, preserve valuable county artifacts and maintain the MIM.

Seating is limited. Reservations are not accepted. There is plenty of free-of-charge parking on West Main Street and adjoining streets.
