Lamprey, eel, paddlefish, oh my! The mighty Mississippi has many unique fish that call it home. Many of these fish people have never seen. However, on April 10th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Denny Weiss, who is now retired from the Iowa DNR after doing fish research for over 35 years, will have real specimens on hand to share his extensive knowledge of these peculiar and prehistoric fish, life on the Mississippi and commercial fishing.
