Favela Friday: Make Paper Plants

Description

Experience the artwork of artist Justin Favela, through a virtual tour of the exhibit, Central American, currently on display at the Des Moines Art Center, then make your own paper plants and flowers, following his technique. This is a free program for school-aged kids and/or families together. The Mujeres group from MHS will help with translation, if needed, and with making the art. Please pre-register by messaging us, or stopping by or calling the youth desk at 641-754-5738, ext. 3 so we have enough supplies; walk-ins will be welcome as supplies allow.
