"Iowa's Lost History from the Titanic"

Description

Author, farmer and historian Darcy Maulsby of Lake City will engage attendees to delve into the mysterious lives of several HMS Titanic passengers with Iowa connections during her presentation. The event is sponsored by the Historical Society of Marshall County (HSMC). The ocean liner sank April 15, 1912 in the Atlantic Ocean on its maiden voyage with the loss of 1,517 passenger and crew. This "History on Second Tuesday" program is co-sponsored by Humanities Iowa. 

Pricing

None. The event is free-of-charge but a free-will donation is encouraged. This allows HSMC to maintain "History on Second Tuesday" programs and other initiatives devoted to central Iowa history. Plenty of free parking on West Main and adjoining streets.
