Join Times-Republican contributor and former staff writer Sara Jordan-Heintz as she shares stories from her book “Going Hollywood: Midwesterners in Movieland” at 6:30 p.m. on July 9 at the Mowry Irvine Mansion, presented by the Historical Society of Marshall County. She will discuss Iowa-born actresses Jean Seberg and Marilyn Maxwell plus share tidbits on other stars including Clark Gable and Carole Lombard. An evening sure to delight classic film buffs. Copies of the book will be available to purchase for $10 each plus copies of her latest book “The Incredible Life & Mysterious Death of Dorothy Kilgallen” for $20. Jordan-Heintz is a freelance newspaper and magazine journalist, book editor and speculative fiction writer based in Norwalk.

Event is free-of-charge and open to the public. Reservations are not required by seating is limited. Plenty of parking on Main Street or adjoining streets.
