Marshalltown High School will host a concert by the Northwestern College Symphonic Band on
Saturday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Marshalltown Performing Arts Center.
The band’s touring program features music that offers encouragement, reflection
and joy across a range of styles and eras. Noteworthy pieces include William Himes’ arrangement of “Amazing Grace” and “Song of Solace” by Ryan Nowlin, a reflective work that instills both peace and reassurance.
The MHS Wind Symphony will get a chance to play with the band for two selections. The concert is free and open to the public.
Northwestern College is a Christian college of more than 1,600 students in Orange City, Iowa.
