Request for Volunteers to help plant trees in 2021 Spring and Fall plantings “Trees Forever”—originated – Marion, IA since 1989 Marshalltown local chapter works with Park & Rec –who manage Public Trees (Parks & Terraces) Non- profit— funding comes from Grants and Donations— Marshalltown chapter, since 1991, has planted over 3000 trees 

Why-Dutch Elm Disease, Emerald Ash borer, old age, + 2 major storms in last 3 years Lost about 40% of trees on Public property (counted since storms by Park & Rec) 2000+ trees lost on Parks & Terraces with Est. of 1000+ on private homeowner property. Target to PLANT 100+trees in 2021--- Several Varieties are 1½”-2”Dia trees for good growth & survival rate Spring & Fall plantings---

 NEED VOLUNTEERS for “PLANT-A-THON 2021” Plan to have spring trees for planting in parks and terraces in APRIL 2021 NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR “PLANT-A-THON 2021” TO HELP PLANT TREES Dates for planting— Sat-10-12 NOON & Weekdays for GROUPS (day/s to be set) Sat- APRIL 24th Sat- MAY 1st Sat-May 8th Start with City Parks----Riverview Park alone lost 400+ trees Plan for Free trees for terraces and private property for later 2021 Criteria to VOLUNTEER- Be willing to help plant trees - We have some fully trained Pro-Planters
