About
Established in 1949 by Clair and Dale Devick in Marshalltown, Iowa, Bruin Manufacturing Company started as a modest job shop, initially enhancing services with three die-cast machines. By 1958, the company innovated its first manually operated plastic injection molding machine crafted from salvaged parts. The introduction of an automatic molding machine in 1965 marked another significant advancement. Over the next few decades, from the 1970s through the 1990s, Bruin continued to fabricate and acquire machines ranging from 25 to 50 tons, guided by the belief that "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" with horizontal clamping and vertical injection.
In 2016, Bruin strategically shifted to exclusively procuring larger horizontal injection machines and established a second production facility in Newton, Iowa. This expansion allowed for the production of larger parts and the use of standard transfer molds. Today, Bruin's machine range spans from 25 tons to 165 tons, reflecting its broadened production capabilities and commitment to superior customer service.
As a leading manufacturer of precision plastic injection components, Bruin’s unique lights-out production enables continuous automated operation, focusing on consistent quality and cost efficiency. The company offers comprehensive services, including onsite engineering and tooling facilities, ensuring swift and affordable project completion from initial consultation to the final molded product.
