Job Title: Events & Experience Coordinator

Location: 709 S Center Street, Marshalltown

The Events & Experience Coordinator serves as the primary guest representative at the Marshalltown Arts & Civic Center. This full-time role coordinates event rentals, supports on-site events, and provides exceptional customer service while assisting with administrative and facility needs. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment with a flexible schedule.

List of Job Duties:

  • Serve as first point of contact for event rental inquiries
  • Provide facility tours and coordinate bookings, contracts, and invoices
  • Prepare event spaces, oversee events, and manage post-event teardown
  • Support guests during events and troubleshoot basic A/V needs
  • Maintain front desk presence and respond to phone and email inquiries
  • Perform clerical and administrative support tasks
  • Handle rental payments and track event-related expenses
  • Assist with inventory, supplies, and event logistics
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience and/or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1–2 years of customer service, hospitality, or event coordination experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and scheduling software
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and move equipment
  • Reliable transportation and ability to respond to the facility within 15 minutes
