Job Description

Receiving Coordinator

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7am-3:30pm

Starting Rate: $18 an hour

Job Summary

 

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for handling the receipt of goods and materials from vendors and suppliers in the warehouse. They manage initial inventory counts, document shipments, operate a forklift/turret, and process information into the warehouse management system. The Receiving Coordinator also handles discrepancies in inventory and resolves issues with vendors and suppliers.

 

General Duties, and Responsibilities

 
  • Inspect and verify all incoming shipments against product invoices, packing lists, BOLs, and purchase orders.
 

Maintain inventory counts and quality control procedures for all incoming product shipments.

 
  • Organize, locate, label, and place shipments and products in designated areas
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse receiving area.
 
  • Document accurate receiving processes and inventory records.
  • Report and document any shipping damage or quality concerns as they are found.
  • Work closely with the customer, receiving team, and customer service to maintain customer satisfaction and respond to customer requests and questions promptly.
  • Operate PIV equipment, such as forklifts, turrets, and other basic warehouse equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements

 
  • High school diploma
  • Experience in logistics or receiving in a warehouse or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience and competence with computers, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management software preferred.
  • Must be able to operate PIV equipment, such as forklifts, turrets, and other basic warehouse equipment.
