The individual in this position will be responsible for teaching ELA and History to our 7th and 8th graders. MCS teachers are child-centered professionals who work to fulfill the school’s mission of glorifying God through biblical, Christ-centered education, providing academic excellence and preparing students for service and leadership.

List of job duties:

- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of students.

- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.

- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

- Communicate with parents regarding student progress.

- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students in the learning process.

- Assess student understanding of material and adjust instruction accordingly.

Required Experience and/or Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Minimum of a BS/BA in any subject

- In agreement with the Marshalltown Christian School Statement of Faith.

- Active member/regular attendee of a Bible-believing church and committed to growth in his/her relationship with Jesus Christ.

- Experience preferred, but not required.

- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
