Brief Job Description/Summary: The individual in this position will be responsible for

Teaching ELA to our 9th grade students

MCS teachers are child-centered professionals who work to fulfill the school’s mission of

glorifying God through biblical, Christ-centered education, providing academic

excellence and preparing students for service and leadership.

List of job duties:

Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of students.

Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.

Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Communicate with parents regarding student progress.

Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students in the learning process.

Assess student understanding of material and adjust instruction accordingly.

Required Experience and/or Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum of a BS/BA in Education

In agreement with the Marshalltown Christian School Statement of Faith.

Active member/regular attendee of a Bible-believing church and committed to growth in his/her relationship with Jesus Christ.

Experience preferred, but not required.

Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
